When should I use an active harmonic filter?

Choose an AHF when VFDs, UPS systems, or rectifiers create measurable current distortion, transformer heating, nuisance tripping, or capacitor problems. AHF output follows the load and targets selected harmonics.

When is an SVG better than a capacitor bank?

SVG is usually preferred for rapidly changing, unbalanced, or highly dynamic loads such as cranes, welders, rolling mills, and large motor starts. Capacitor banks are suitable for stable inductive demand when harmonic conditions are controlled.

Can a hybrid VAR system solve both power factor and harmonic issues?
